STORM LAKE – College is supposed to be, and can be, one of the most amazing experiences of your life. They say the things that you experience in college are some of the best times of your life. In my time here at college, I have had some of the best times of my life, and I know that as I continue to grow in life, some of my experience will only get better. While I would love to be able to stay in college beyond this upcoming year, I know that that is not what the future holds for me. I know that there is life beyond college.

I had three very good friends graduate this past May. These friends will be embarking upon a new chapter of their lives this coming fall, proving what I knew; that there is life after BVU.

Friend #1 Amber Andrews

Amber hails from the great state of Minnesota and the city of Minneapolis. Amber was a biology major who in April got accepted to the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine. Amber took the MCATs and worked in the science department at BV. She studied hard for four long years and took the necessary classes, and it has paid off for her. She will become a doctor within the next five years, and she got there from having a Buena Vista University education

Friend #2 Jacqueline Moore

Jackie resides six miles away from BV in Alta, Iowa. She was a marketing major. This fall, she will be enrolled in graduate school at Argosy University in Minnesota. Jackie studied hard, got good grades and did well on the necessary tests for her to get into graduate school. Once again, it paid off for her. She will be furthering her education, and she will do it because of her predecessor school, BVU.

Friend #3 Adrian Thomas

Adrian is from Des Moines, the capital of Iowa. Adrian was a psychology major just like I am. Last fall, Adrian studied and took the GRE. After 4 years of hard work at BVU and taking classes with the same professors that I have now, she has been accepted to the University of Memphis graduate program for counseling. She got accepted into a great graduate program with the education she received from BVU.

This coming fall, I will use the tools that I have acquired from this school to pursue my life after graduation. I know that I have been receiving a great education from the University. The University has excellent staff and faculty who have the necessary experience to help you excel in your field. There is life after college. For me though, getting to that astounding life has been through the amazing opportunities I have been given through my BVU education.
